Artist Cat Brantley
Cat works with students and adults teaching fabric dyeing, mindful art, watercolor, and illustration.
She is a Visual Arts Instructor through Engaging Creative Minds and can also be found on the SC Arts Commission Artist Directory.
She can be booked directly for professional development and team building workshops, mindful art lectures, and 1:1 or group art sessions for adults.
Rates: Hourly rates depend on group size, ages, subject, and medium. $250 daily minimum.

Cat has a calm, gentle demeanor and is able to connect and build relationships with kids in a way that encourages them to take risks as artists. When planning lessons, Cat thinks through the implementation of each step of a project and breaks them into manageable chunks for students, as well as the ways she can scaffold students towards success. Her art lessons are well prepared, have great pacing, and integrate South Carolina literacy standards as well. What's more impressive is Cat's ability to manage a classroom of students. I have worked with many resident artists over the years as a classroom teacher, and Cat has had the most impressive classroom management skills by far. The end result, students are highly engaged, improve their artistic ability, deepen their literacy skills, and produce amazing projects.
